Community Groups
Community Groups are a place to make friends and make a difference with Jesus at the center. They are small to mid-sized ongoing groups organized around neighborhoods or life stages. They meet in homes and seek to live out their faith by enjoying one another, studying Scripture, and serving in our community.
You can join an open group ready to welcome new people (listed below) or attend our START program, where everyone is new at the same time. START is how we form new groups through a nine-week on-campus small group experience to help you strengthen your faith and find your people.

FAQs
Our Community Groups are very diverse, and that is by design! Some groups are large with lots of kids, while others are smaller gatherings of adults only. Some groups are always open to new members, while others are closed. Some groups are potlucks with a short devotional time, while others look more like a traditional in-home Bible study. All of our groups are seeking to grow in their relationships with God and one another while making a difference in the world, but this looks different in different groups.
While our groups regularly study the bible they also do much more. We ask that all of our groups regularly seek to make a difference in their neighborhoods, schools, and work environments by serving those who don’t yet know Christ. Since groups are ongoing, and many stay together for years, we also seek to regularly eat, play, and pray regularly together.

Yes, we encourage networks of friends to become a Community Group and use any and all materials we create. The existing foundation from established relationships facilitates spiritual growth and deeper partnership in mission. Being a recognized group helps the Discipleship Department staff be available to support you and keep you in the loop on resources available to group members. We also provide yearly retreats and quarterly leadership training for your own spiritual growth. If you’re interested in starting a group email Heather
We offer a four-week class several times per year called Exploring Missional Leadership that is taught by our Community Group Pastor, Heather Johnson. After the class, Heather will connect with you individually to determine next steps. You can check the Events Page to see if a class session is coming up, or you can email Heather to find out when the class will be offered next.
