Psalm 103:2-5

Bless the Lord, O my soul,  and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

As we focus on praying for healing and deliverance today, we recognize the need is great. While we each have our own personal requests we are bringing before the Lord, it is comforting that God is not intimidated by the amount of people who need a touch from him. God has an infinite supply of power to heal and deliver. He is in the business of healing disease, making the lame walk, the blind see, and even raising people from the dead. He restores the broken and returns the prodigal to his family. He delivers us from our troubles and from the things that enslave and torment us. He severs the chains of addiction and rebellion. Nothing is impossible with God and he delights in our freedom. As we think about all that God is and all that he is capable of, let us begin with a sense of awe and wonder at his goodness and his love.

What a magnificent God we serve! He is the creator of all things. He set the world in motion. He uniquely designed and created each one of us, made in his likeness. He designed the intricacies of our bodies. He fashioned each system, each organ, to serve a particular purpose. He designed our blood, as a life force within us, placing in us each white and red blood cell to be pumped through our bodies to nourish and cleanse. He created our lungs and fills them with breath. He wired our brains to receive and give information, sending signals to each part of our body, and telling it how to function. He created us with the ability to learn, communicate, and make decisions. He created us with a complex range of emotions. He designed each of us with unique facial features, one-of-a-kind fingerprints, and distinctive personality traits. He knows each of us by name, he knows our thoughts, the number of hairs on our head, and is intimately acquainted with our joys, sorrows, dreams, desires, strengths, weaknesses, our needs, and the condition of our hearts. Each and every one of us.

Because of this, there is no one better to be our healer and our deliverer. We will see all kinds of requests and needs at WPHG. Today, we focus our prayers on asking that God would move in mighty ways on behalf of all who come. Let’s ask God to make sure everyone who is supposed to attend will be there. Pray for God to anoint the prayer team to give them power and authority to heal all diseases and over all evil spirits. Pray for our team to hear God’s voice, that they may know how to pray God’s heart for each person they minister to.

Listening Prayer:

Holy Spirit, what specific ways do you want me to pray for healing and deliverance for the Worship Prayer and Healing Gathering? What areas are you growing a passion in me to intercede for and see people healed and delivered? What are your prayer strategies and your will for healing and deliverance both at WPHG and beyond? Pray as the Holy Spirit directs.

Prayer:

God, we marvel at your vast knowledge and your creativity. We recognize that there is none like you. We praise you for your deep love for each one of us, a love so vast that we can never comprehend the fullness of it. We praise you that you have everything we need and know those needs before a thought is on our mind or a word is on our lips. Lord, we thank you that you not only created all of us and know the intricacies of each of our lives but that you are willing to step in and help us.

Heavenly Father, we proclaim that you are our healer and deliverer. Lord, you are not limited by diagnosis, or hardened hearts, or impossible situations. We invite you into all of our needs and the needs of each person coming to the Worship Prayer and Healing Gathering. God, we thank you that you have the power to heal and deliver all who come. We ask that you begin now to work on the hearts and minds of each person attending who needs a touch from you. We pray you would equip us and anoint the prayer team to heal as they pray for each request. We pray for the eradication of diseases and for the deliverance of those who are bound.

God, would you come in power and move through each one of us? Holy Spirit, we pray that you would increase our faith and keep our eyes firmly fixed on the Father and not on the problems in front of us. May we be pure vessels for honorable use through which you move to touch the lives of those around us?  God, we humbly come before you as a unified body in agreement with your will as we intercede collectively for all the needs being prayed for. Lord, just like you gave the disciples in Matthew 10, would you give us “authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every affliction.” Lord, as each person is healed and delivered, would you give them a renewed sense of your deep love and a fresh understanding of your desire to be in an intimate relationship with them? May all the miracles lead people to you and bear witness to you. Put your words in our hearts and your desires on our lips. We give you all the glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
