When we purchase a product and it begins to not function properly, one way we try to figure out how to fix it is by reading the owner’s manual. The manual was formulated by the people or company that originally designed the product. Likewise, when our bodies are not functioning, we can seek the creator to assist us in restoring our bodies to the original design in which they were intended. God is so amazing! He put together such an intricate design when he made the human body. He knows how to restore any broken part, cure any disease, and bring balance into systems that are out of whack. One of the main purposes of the Worship, Prayer and Healing Gathering is to see people healed from physical infirmities.

One of the names of God is Jehovah Rapha, meaning, I am the Lord, your healer. It is in God’s nature to heal us. Since we know God never changes, we can set our expectations for God to heal. We can firmly put our faith and our trust in Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals.

You may need a healing touch from the Lord, too. When we are desperate for healing, it can be challenging to pray on behalf of another. The good news is Jesus has enough for your healing and everyone else’s too. Praying for another will not cancel your miracle just as praying for yours won’t cancel out theirs. Today, we pray in unity for the Lord to move mightily in our church for people to be healed from all infirmities and all diseases. Ask the Lord to increase our faith as we pray to believe God is bigger than anything we or anyone else may be facing. Let us present ourselves before the Lord as holy vessels to be used as his conduit for healing. Continue to meditate on his Word and fill our hearts and minds with things from above, keeping our eyes on the healer, rather than the disease. May we be filled with faith, hope, and tenacity, never giving up, in Jesus name!

Listening Prayer:

Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what specific physical ailments he wants you to intercede for. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you his words to pray. Pray as he directs.

Prayer:

Jesus, your Word says that by your stripes we are healed. Today we are asking that you would move in mighty and powerful ways for those who are afflicted with any sort of physical illness, disease, or disability. We lift up each and every person who will come to the Worship, Prayer and Healing Gathering to seek a touch from you. I specifically ask that you would heal suffering from  ____________ (name the infirmities or physical ailments he reveals to you). We speak life over every person needing physical healing. We pray that you would prepare their hearts and minds to encounter you. We know you have an overflow of miracle working power to heal the sick. We ask that you move mightily to heal knowing healing only happens through you. We acknowledge you as our healer, Jehovah Rapha, and thank you in advance for all you are going to heal. We ask that healing be a normal part of our Christian walk from this day forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Resource: Bible Verses on Healing

“There the Lord made for them a statute and a rule, and there he tested them, saying, ‘If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your healer.’” (Jehovah Rapha)(Exodus 15:25b-26)

“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)

“And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” (James 5:15-16)
