You love exploring the Scriptures in awesome sermons, but do you struggle to understand the Bible when you read it by yourself? Would you like to learn to read Scripture the same way our pastors do and gain better clarity and insight? In these seven sessions you’ll develop a greater appreciation for the Bible and develop your ability to read it in a way that lead to increased comprehension and application!

The Last Things: Understanding Heaven and Hell

We all know there will be an end to our life. Many of us wrestle with the limited understanding we have about the good and bad of eternity. Join us for this six-week seminar deconstructing popular but inaccurate ideas about heaven and hell and reconstructing a biblical understanding of these crucial concepts.

Everyday Apologetics

This fun, fast-paced, six-week course will lead you into discussion of some of life’s biggest questions like “Is faith rational in an age of science?”, “Was Jesus a real person?”, and “Where is God in all our suffering?”. You’ll also be provided with an easy road map to leverage the community you already have to create natural conversations about the things that matter most. Class will be supplemented with Justin Brierly’s book Unbelievable.

Who is My Neighbor? Serving Refugees

Tens of thousands of refugees come to the United States each year, and Sacramento has one of the largest refugee populations in the country. How can we be the hands and feet of Jesus to the refugees living in our midst? In this class you will learn about the mission field present in Sacramento as we address many questions, concerns, and realities about this controversial topic and equip you to understand the opportunity we have to show the love of Jesus to our refugee neighbors. (One session involves going off site for a cross cultural dinner with refugees)

Theology of Suffering Discussion

As we tread through the suffering of Job and our current encounters with suffering, this course will offer opportunity for a more in-depth discussion on the theology of suffering in Scripture.
