Global Care Board

Bridgeway's Global Care Board is a group of staff and lay people who seek to elevate Bridgeway's awareness of and participation in global missions, elevate Bridgeway's awareness of global challenges, encourage participation in the biblical mandate for world evangelism, and advocate for partner ministries. This team seeks to interceded for human life and wellbeing through prayer, and advocate service in mission. 

 

The Global Care Board commits to:

• Aid members of Bridgeway in responding to care needs around the world.

• Stimulate prayer for partners and Global Care.

• Review and recommend partnerships.

• Coordinate and plan events.

• Review and recommend budget allocation.

• Onsite visitation of partners and potential partners.

• Development of policy and procedures related to Global Care.

Missions experience: Led the Mexicali mission team at Bridgeway for six years. Worked with the Mexico outreach team at Azusa Pacific University for two years.

Missions experience: Participated on three Bridgeway missions teams. Lived in Indonesia for 13 months with Bridgeway as my sending church.

Name: Debra Freid 

Missions experience: Leader and participant on Bridgeway trips to Nicaragua since 2010. High school ministry missions trip participant in 2009. Agape International Missions participant, 2009-2011.

Missions experience: I have been involved in missions at Bridgeway since 2011. I have been one of the leaders of our Nicaragua team since 2016.

If you had to live somewhere outside the United States, where would you live? I would love the opportunity to live in South Korea. It would be amazing to experience the different church congregations there. Additionally, the food is delicious. 

 

Name: Kevin Kurtz

Missions experience: I have been to Haiti six times. I've also served on teams in Romania, Mexico, and the Philippines. I have served on staff at several churches, and I was ordained by the Assemblies of God in 1991.

Missions experience: Lead and co-lead several Bridgeway trips to Uganda. Co-lead Bridgeway trip to Victoria, Texas. Participated in a trip to Mexico with Fremont Presbyterian Church

If you had to live somewhere outside the United States, where would you live? Costa Rica because it seems peaceful and quiet. 

 

Name: Ally Waite

Missions experience: I went on my first Bridgeway missions trip to Uganda in 2010. I went back in 2011, and then moved to Uganda in December 2011. For the last six years I have visited Uganda on several occasions. I have taught and volunteered at the Toggo International Children's Centre in Uganda. I have also been on trips to Texas and Santa Rosa to help with flood and fire relief.

Name: Rod Lindholm

Missions experience: My involvement in international missions started with trips to Mexico in the early 1990s. My wife and I served on a team to Russia in 1994, and in 2006 I went to Nepal with e3 Partners Ministry. In 2009 I joined the staff of e3 and was trained as a SportReach Church Planter. I started leading annual trips to Russia in 2011.
