Day 31- Restore My Patience
Proverbs 15:18 “A hot-tempered person stirs up conflict, but the one who is patient calms a quarrel.”
Read this verse a few times slowly and allow God’s truth to soak in to your heart, mind and spirit. Ask God to restore the places that are dry and weary. Posture your heart for the Holy Spirit to bring about change within you. We want His fullness, His peace, His love and His restoration throughout our lives.
As you sit with this verse, think about these things:
1 Where do I need His living water today in my life? Where am I feeling dry and weary?
2 Show me Lord a new awareness of your love and provision in these places in my life.
3 Teach me how to come to You for restoration rather than seeking comfort in the world.
Father, restore my patience. Day to day life wears away at my patience whether circumstances, relationships, physical or emotional conditions. I do not want to bring chaos or strife to situations, I need Your Holy Spirit to give me patience that I may instead bring order, calm and resolution. Teach me to be a peacemaker that cultivates unity through words that are kind and calm that comes from a place of patience.
